IMIDC Russia VPS (Moscow cloud server) runs in a Tier3+ data center in Moscow, routes back to mainland China over China Telecom CN2, and includes one native Russian IPv4 per server, with six plans from 1 vCPU / 512MB up to 16 vCPU / 16GB starting at $18/month (see the website for current pricing). It suits teams that need a genuine Russian presence while managing operations from China or elsewhere in Asia: Ozon and Wildberries seller centers, Russian-language sites targeting Yandex, China–Russia trade websites, and VK or Telegram community work. Servers are provisioned automatically and come with 24/7 support and free migration.
At IMIDC these terms describe the same product: a virtualized, monthly-billed, auto-provisioned cloud server in Moscow. The alternative is a Russia dedicated server, where you get the whole physical machine for heavy workloads, multi-IP site networks or virtualization hosts.
Why Moscow? It is the hub of the Russian internet and gives balanced reach to Russia, the CIS and Europe. IMIDC's Moscow facility also has a CN2 route back to China, so remote administration from China stays smooth. Note that Moscow is CN2, not CN2 GIA; if most of your users are in mainland China, IMIDC's Hong Kong CN2 GIA location is the better fit.
| Plan | vCPU / RAM / Disk | Monthly traffic (CN2) | Port | OS | Price from |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| RU-Cloud-01 | 1 / 512MB ECC / 20GB SSD | 200GB | 20Mbps | Linux only | $18/mo |
| RU-Cloud-02 | 2 / 1GB ECC / 40GB SSD | 500GB | 20Mbps | Linux / Windows | $38/mo |
| RU-Cloud-03 | 2 / 2GB ECC / 80GB SSD | 800GB | 30Mbps | Linux / Windows | $58/mo |
| RU-Cloud-04 | 4 / 4GB ECC / 120GB SSD | 1TB | 30Mbps | Linux / Windows | $78/mo |
| RU-Cloud-05 | 8 / 8GB ECC / 160GB SSD | 1.5TB | 50Mbps | Linux / Windows | $98/mo |
| RU-Cloud-06 | 16 / 16GB ECC / 240GB SSD | 2TB | 50Mbps | Linux / Windows | $118/mo |
All plans include 1 IPv4 in Moscow. Prices are indicative; the website shows current pricing.
A 1 vCPU / 512MB instance handles a small Linux service, a Russian landing page or a Yandex indexing test. If you need Windows Remote Desktop to work in a seller center, start at RU-Cloud-02, since the entry plan does not support Windows.
With 2–4 vCPU and 2–4GB RAM you can run a WordPress/WooCommerce export site, ERP plugins and a browser workspace side by side. For several stores, use one VPS and one dedicated IP per store as a separate, stable environment, and follow each marketplace's rules. A dedicated IP keeps logins consistent; it is not a way around platform review.
8–16 vCPU, 8–16GB RAM and 1.5–2TB of traffic suit busy Russian-language media sites, app backends and databases. When you outgrow a VPS and need /24 multi-IP site networks or dedicated hardware, look at IMIDC Moscow dedicated servers: from Xeon E3-1230 v3 / 16GB / 30Mbps CN2 ($199/month) up to dual E5-2697 v2 / 384GB with a /24 block ($1099/month), current pricing on the website.
Russia's internet ecosystem is largely self-contained. E-commerce is led by Ozon and Wildberries, plus Yandex Market and Avito; search is dominated by Yandex; social and video run on VK, Telegram, RuTube and VK Video. Hosting in Moscow with a native Russian IP improves load times for Russian users and lets you check Yandex rankings and Yandex Direct ads from a local point of view.
Netflix and TikTok do not currently offer full service in Russia; for those workloads, pair your setup with IMIDC's Japan, Taiwan or USA locations. A native Russian IP is suitable for local services such as VK Video, RuTube and Kinopoisk. Platform policies change, so always verify with your own tests.
Russia also requires personal data of Russian citizens to be stored locally. If your site processes such data, consult legal counsel when planning your hosting.
If anything looks off, open a ticket and 24/7 support will help troubleshoot.
IMIDC's entry Moscow VPS, RU-Cloud-01, starts at $18/month (1 vCPU / 512MB / 20GB SSD / 200GB CN2 traffic, Linux only). Check the website for current pricing.
No. IMIDC's Moscow route to China is CN2, which is noticeably more stable than ordinary international transit. For CN2 GIA, choose Hong Kong.
No. The server is outside mainland China, so no ICP filing is required and you can use it as soon as it is provisioned.
Yes, on RU-Cloud-02 and above. The entry plan RU-Cloud-01 supports Linux only.
One native Russian IPv4, with optional home broadband, residential or ISP IPs. For large IP counts, choose a Moscow dedicated server with a /24 block or Russian IP rental.
If you need a real Russian presence that is still easy to manage from China, start with an IMIDC Russia VPS (Moscow CN2, native Russian IP) sized to your workload. When you grow, move up to a Moscow dedicated server with CN2 and /24 native IP blocks. IMIDC migrates you for free.
