IMIDC (Rainbow Network Limited) rents four kinds of Singapore IP addresses: Singapore datacenter IPs, Singapore native IPs, Singapore static residential (home broadband) IPs and Singapore ISP IPs. The addresses come from APNIC and local networks such as Singtel, StarHub and M1. Datacenter and native IPs start at a /24 (256 IPs) and scale up to a /16. Residential and ISP IPs are available singly or in bulk, and pricing is quoted per type and volume. In short: use residential or ISP IPs for stores and social accounts, native IPs for local business and content access, and datacenter IPs for websites and multi-site SEO.
Singapore is Southeast Asia's model e-commerce market. Shopee and Lazada both run their regional headquarters here, and Amazon.sg and Carousell are also active. Many sellers treat Singapore as their first step into the region.
But not every "Singapore IP" on the market is the same. Some are Singapore datacenter ranges that platforms immediately see as server networks. Some are registered in another country and only show up as Singapore in Geo databases, so their location can drift. Many are shared proxies that rotate between dozens of users. Seller communities generally agree that a store's login environment should stay fixed long term and match the account's identity, which matters more than simply "showing Singapore". When you buy in bulk, a legitimate source, clean WHOIS records and a stable geolocation are worth more than the lowest unit price.
| IP type | Source | How platforms see it | Rental unit | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Datacenter IP | Singapore datacenter ranges, BGP and ASN supported, rDNS available | Server network | /24 and up, to /16 | Websites, multi-site SEO, APIs, high concurrency |
| Singapore native IP | Registered locally in Singapore, clean WHOIS | Local Singapore IP | /24 and up, to /16 | Account operations, local content, local business |
| ISP IP | Assigned by a local carrier and announced under the carrier's ASN | Residential trust with datacenter stability | Single or bulk | Live streaming, always-on sessions, high bandwidth |
| Static residential / home broadband IP | Singapore home broadband ranges, fixed long term | Ordinary household user, lower risk score | Single or bulk | E-commerce stores, social media accounts |
For the basics, see Native IP vs announced IP. This guide focuses on how Singapore sellers should choose.
Give each store its own static residential or ISP IP that stays fixed long term, so that each store runs in its own separate environment. A separate environment is only infrastructure: the number of stores and business credentials must still follow platform rules, and you should never use it to get around platform penalties.
For long-term TikTok, Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp accounts, the IP should match the device language and time zone. For long live-stream sessions, ISP IPs offer the steadier connection. Platform policies change, so always verify with your own tests.
Use Singapore native IPs to see how Google and Facebook ads and landing pages actually appear to local users, or to check local rankings on Google Singapore. Multi-site SEO projects can use datacenter IP blocks, with each site on its own IP so that no site is affected by trouble on a shared range.
Netflix, Disney+ and meWATCH limit content by region, and a native IP helps you access them as a local Singapore user. Platform policies change, so always verify with your own tests. For collecting public data, such as price monitoring and competitor analysis, datacenter IP blocks provide a stable exit.

A native IP is registered and geolocated in Singapore, so platforms see it as a local IP. A residential (home broadband) IP comes from Singapore household broadband ranges and looks like an ordinary home user, which gives it a lower risk score. Use residential IPs first for stores and accounts, and native IPs for local business and content access.
Residential IPs have the lowest risk score and suit e-commerce and social accounts. ISP IPs are announced under a carrier's name and combine residential trust with datacenter stability, which makes them better for live streaming, always-on sessions and high-bandwidth work.
Datacenter and native IPs start at a /24 (256 IPs) and can scale to a /16. Residential and ISP IPs are available singly or in bulk.
Yes. IMIDC supports BGP announcement under your own ASN and helps configure WHOIS, rDNS and Geofeed. You can also pair the IPs with IMIDC Singapore dedicated servers.
