IMIDC Client Area Basics: Find Your Server IP and Password, Renew and Open a Ticket

The IMIDC client area is the single place where you manage VPS, dedicated servers and IP leasing services. This IMIDC client area basics guide explains how to sign in, find your server IP address and password, renew on time and submit a support ticket. Menu labels may change slightly between versions, so the paths below are general; if you cannot find an option, simply open a ticket and ask.

Step 1: Sign In to the IMIDC Client Area

Open the address below in your browser and sign in with the email and password you registered with. If you forget the password, use the "forgot password" link on the login page to reset it through your registered email. Use a unique, strong password and keep your email account secure.

Step 2: Find Your Server IP Address and Password

After signing in, open My Products & Services, select the server and open its management or details page. There you will see the primary IP, any additional IPs, the login username and the initial password. The same details are normally emailed to you when the server is delivered, so check your inbox and spam folder too.

Client area -> My Products & Services -> select the server -> Manage / Details
  - Dedicated IP / Assigned IPs
  - Username (root / Administrator)
  - Password
Additional IP ranges for dedicated and multi-IP (SEO) servers are usually listed in the service details. If you cannot see the full list, open a ticket and we will send it.

Step 3: Change the Server Password After First Login

Once you have the initial password, change it on your first login to a strong password only you know (at least 12 characters with upper and lower case letters, numbers and symbols). On Linux use passwd; on Windows use Computer Management or the command line. Store it safely: a password changed inside the OS is not reflected in the client area.

# Linux: change the root password after first login
passwd

# Windows Server: change the Administrator password (PowerShell / CMD as admin)
net user Administrator "N3w-Str0ng-P@ssw0rd"

Step 4: Renew Your Server and Check the Due Date

Before a service expires, a renewal invoice is generated and emailed to you. Find unpaid invoices in the billing section of the client area and pay them, and check the next due date on the server's details page. Renew before the due date to avoid suspension. Accepted payment methods and billing cycles are shown in the client area.

Client area -> Billing -> My Invoices -> open the unpaid invoice -> Pay
Client area -> My Products & Services -> select the server -> renew / view next due date

Step 5: Submit a Ticket to IMIDC Technical Support

For outages, OS reinstalls, extra IPs or technical questions, open the ticket page, choose the appropriate department, enter a subject and a detailed description and submit. You will get an email when an engineer replies, and you can follow up from the ticket list in the client area.

A clear ticket gets resolved much faster. We recommend describing the issue like this:

Subject: [VPS 203.0.113.10] SSH connection timed out since 10:20 UTC+8
Service: Hong Kong VPS, 203.0.113.10
OS: Ubuntu 24.04
Problem: Cannot connect via SSH; ping also fails from my office network.
Tried: Rebooted from the client area; VNC console shows the login prompt.
Attachments: screenshot of the error, output of "ip a" from the VNC console
Never send server passwords through public channels. If an engineer needs to log in, mention it in the ticket and change the password once the issue is resolved.

FAQ

I did not receive the welcome email.

Check your spam or promotions folder and make sure your registered email is correct. You can also view the server details directly in the client area; if they are missing, open a ticket.

I changed the server password but the client area still shows the old one.

That is expected. Passwords changed inside the operating system are not synced back. The client area shows the password set at delivery or reinstall, so rely on the new password you saved.

I cannot find a certain function in the client area.

Available management features differ between product types. If you cannot find reboot, reinstall, reverse DNS or a similar function, open a ticket and support will help.

Still stuck after following these steps? Open a support ticket and the IMIDC 24/7 technical team will help. Please include the server IP, operating system, the commands you ran and a screenshot of the error so we can pinpoint the issue faster.
